Last Night in Soho Trailer Teases a Time-Bending Thriller

Focus Features has released another Last Night in Soho trailer for Edgar Wright’s long-delayed psychological thriller film, featuring some bits of new footage. It is currently scheduled to make its debut in theaters on October 29. The video continues to highlight Thomasin McKenzie’s Eloise sudden time-hopping ability which leads her to witness a murder in the past. As she goes back-and-forth between the present and the past, she tries to reach out to Anya Taylor-Joy’s Sandie in order to save her.

Last Night in Soho is directed by Edgar Wright from a screenplay he co-wrote with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Penny Dreadful). The film is led by Thomasin McKenzie (Leave No TraceJojo Rabbit), Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit), and Emmy nominee Matt Smith (The Crown).

“In the psychological thriller,  Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer, is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s London where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer, Sandie,” reads the synopsis. “But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.”

Joining the main cast are Rita Tushingham, Terence Stamp, Jessie Mei Li, Michael Ajao, Synnøve Karlsen, Lisa McGrills, Margaret Nolan, and the late veteran actress Diana Rigg in her final film following her death in September of 2020 at the age of 82.

From Focus Features and Working Title Films, Last Night in Soho is described as in the same vein as Don’t Look Now and Roman Polanski’s Repulsion. Producers are Nira Park, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Wright. Focus Features and Universal Pictures International will distribute the film worldwide.
