Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch Featurette Highlights Three Stories

Searchlight Pictures has revealed the first behind-the-scenes featurette for Wes Anderson’s long-awaited star-studded dramedy film The French Dispatch, starring Anderson’s long-time collaborators like Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Tilda Swinton, and more. The film had its world premiere in July at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, and it is currently set to hit the theaters on October 22.

The French Dispatch featurette, which you can check out below, features interviews by Anderson, producer Jeremy Dawson, and the cast including Murray, Swinton, Wilson, Timothée Chalamet, and more. They went on to talk about the different stories that viewers should expect to see in the film, giving us a better idea of the film’s theme, plot, and characters

Described as a love letter to journalists, The French Dispatch brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city.

The A-List ensemble includes Oscar winners Frances McDormand, Benicio Del Toro, Adrien Brody, and Tilda Swinton along with Oscar nominees Timothée Chalamet, Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson. Léa Seydoux, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park are also starring in the film along with Liev Schreiber, Elisabeth Moss, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Lois Smith, Saoirse Ronan, Christoph Waltz, Anjelica Huston, Jason Schwartzman, Henry Winkler, and more.

The French Dispatch is written and directed by Wes Anderson from a story by Anderson, Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Hugo Guinness. The movie is independently financed by billionaire Steve Rales of Indian Paintbrush, who regularly backs Anderson’s projects.
