Mass Trailer Previews Fran Kranz’s Directorial Debut Pic About Gun Violence

Bleecker Street has released the official trailer for Cabin in the Woods actor Fran Kranz’s forthcoming feature directorial debut titled Mass, centered around a couple meeting with the parents of their son’s killer. The film had its world premiere earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its performances and thought-provoking plot. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Friday, October 8.

Mass is written and directed by Kranz. It is being led by Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter films), Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope), Ann Down (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Reed Birney (The Hunt).

“Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents, agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward,” reads the synopsis. “In Fran Kranz’ writing and directing debut, he thoughtfully examines their journey of grief, anger and acceptance by coming face-to-face with the ones who have been left behind.”
