Exclusive: Paper Tiger Clip From Filmmaker Paul Kowalski’s Feature Debut

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive clip from the new drama thriller Paper Tiger, written and directed by Paul Kowalski in his feature debut. The movie is available now on VOD and Digital from Gravitas Ventures.

Paper Tiger follows an immigrant mother who fears her mentally ill teenaged son is turning into a school shooter,” reads the official synopsis.

Lydia Look (7 Letters), Alan Trong (The Tomorrow War, Alita: Battle Angel), and Elaine Kao (Snowpiercer) star in the indie, which debuted at Austin Film Festival 2020 and won the audience award and a jury mention. 

“In a time of growing isolation, polarization, and mental health concerns around the world,” said Kowalski, “I hope the film reaches audiences that can connect with and explore the type of tragedy that can result when communication shuts down.”

Seth Numrich (Homeland, Imperium), John Harlan Kim (The Little Things, The Librarians), Carrie Wampler (Big Little Lies, The Goldbergs), and Lynn Chen (Shameless, Saving Face) round out the cast.
