Snake Eyes Featurette Spotlights Cast’s Intense Ninja Training 

Paramount Pictures has released a brand new Snake Eyes featurette for their upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff, starring Henry Golding as the titular ninja commando. The film is currently slated to hit the theaters on Friday, July 23.

The video, which you can check out below, features commentaries from the cast including Golding and Andrew Koji as they talked about the intense ninja training they’ve gone through for the sword and gunfight sequences under the supervision of fight coordinator and second unit director Kenji Tanigaki (Rurouni Kenshin films). It also provides us a behind-the-scenes look at some of the cast’s training as well as some new bits of action-packed footage from the film.

In Snake Eyesa tenacious loner is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teaches Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

The G.I. Joe spinoff stars Henry Golding as the titular ninja assassin, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Úrsula Corberó as Baronness, Peter Mensah as Blind Master, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Takehiro Hira as Kenta, and Steven Allerick.

Robert Schwentke is directing Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins from a screenplay written by Evan Spiliotopoulous. Executive producers are Jeff Waxman, Erik Howsam, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner to produce.
