Space Jam: A New Legacy Clip Takes Lebron James to The Matrix

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new Space Jam: A New Legacy clip from their forthcoming sequel to 1996’s iconic sports comedy pic, starring NBA superstar LeBron James. The film is slated to arrive in theaters and on HBO Max on July 16. Its current theatrical release will see Space Jam 2 going up against a number of competitors including Sony Pictures’ Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, NEON’s Nicolas Cage-led movie Pig and a new take on Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet story titled Die in a Gunfight.

The video, which you can check out below, begins with Granny and Speedy Gonzales as they recreate some of the iconic scenes from The Matrix. It also features James and Bugs Bunny in their Matrix-inspired outfits as they bust through the windows to meet with Granny and Speedy. Interestingly, the long-awaited fourth installment to hit sci-fi franchise is also set to make its debut later this year.
