Snake Eyes International Trailer: Every Warrior Has a Beginning

Paramount Pictures has released the international trailer for their forthcoming action pic Snake Eyes, starring Henry Golding and Andrew Koji as fan-favorite G.I. Joe characters. Compared to the new trailer that was recently released earlier this week, the Snake Eyes international trailer offers lots more of action-packed footage involving Golding’s titular hero, Koji’s Storm Shadow, the Arashikage clan, and the infamous Cobra as well as a preview into the film’s badass highway fight sequence. It also provides fans a better idea of the lead character’s background and the dynamic between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Friday, July 23. Its current release date sees it going up against two different competitors in the form of M. Night Shyamalan’s newest thriller Old and the Mark Wahlberg-led biopic drama Joe Bell.

Snake Eyes is the ninja commando best known for his deadly ability with a sword and trench knives. However, he is also a highly skilled martial artist who can be just as dangerous unarmed. Joining Henry Golding as the titular ninja assassin are Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Úrsula Corberó as Baronness, Peter Mensah as Blind Master, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Takehiro Hira as Kenta, and Steven Allerick.

In the upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff, a tenacious loner is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teaches Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.
