Marvel Studios Unveils New Special Look For Black Widow

A brand new special look video for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow has been released, further teasing the Scarlett Johansson-led MCU film’s long-awaited debut on July 9 in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. The video features some new action-packed footage of Florence Pugh’s Yelena and the film’s main antagonist, the mysterious Taskmaster.

In addition, during a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Oscar winner Rachel Weisz debuted another Black Widow clip, which is actually an extended version of yesterday’s new clip that featured Natasha with her first family.

Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity WarBlack Widow marks the first feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4. It follows Natasha Romanoff as she confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

The film stars MCU vet Scarlett Johansson, whose character was last seen during Avengers: Endgame, where she sacrificed her life in order for Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye to obtain the Soul stone in Vormir. Joining her are franchise newcomers David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz as Melina, Ray Winstone as Dreykov, head of The Red Rom, and O-T Fagbenle as Mason.
