Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard Clip: Ryan Reynolds Interrupts a Sweet Reunion

Lionsgate has released another The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard clip from their upcoming action-comedy sequel, featuring the return of Marvel stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek. The highly-anticipated film is slated to hit the theaters on June 16, 2021. The new video features an intimate reunion between Jackson’s Darius Kincaid and Hayek’s Sonia. However, their brief romantic moment will get interrupted by the unwanted appearance of Reynolds’ Michael Bryce.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard will continue to follow the world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce and hitman Darius Kincaid – who are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid. As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio gets in over their heads in a global plot and soon finds that they are all that stands between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman. Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as… well, you’ll have to see.

The sequel stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, and Richard E. Grant, who are reprising their roles as Michael Bryce, Darius Kincaid, Sonia Kincaid, and Seifert, respectively. Joining them are Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wright, Alice McMillan, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Tom Hopper, and Blake Ritson.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is once again directed by Patrick Hughes from a screenplay written by original writer Tom O’Connor along with Phillip and Brandon Murphy. Producers are Millennium Media’s Matt O’Toole with Campbell Grobman Films’ Les Weldon, Christa Campbell, and Lati Grobman. It is being executive produced by Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Jeffrey Greenstein, Heidi Jo Markel, and Jonathan Yunger.
