Escape Room: Tournament of Champions Trailer Teases a Much Bigger Game

Sony Pictures has released the official Escape Room: Tournament of Champions trailer for Adam Robitel’s upcoming horror sequel, which is slated to arrive in theaters on July 16. The video features the return of Taylor Russell and Logan Miller as they reprise their respective roles as Zoey and Ben, who discovers that they weren’t the only winners of the game. Now, the six players must band together to beat the game in order to make it out alive again. However, as they advance to another level, they’ll realize that it would be much harder to survive this time as the game levels up to a much bigger scale.

The sequel’s current release date sees Escape Room 2 going up against a high-profile competition in the form of Warner Bros.’ Space Jam: A New Legacy starring Lebron James which is set for a simultaneous theatrical and HBO Max release.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is the sequel to the box office hit psychological thriller that terrified audiences around the world. In this installment, six people unwittingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive…and discovering they’ve all played the game before.

The sequel stars Taylor Russell (Lost in Space, Before I Fall),  Logan Miller (Love, Simon), Indya Moore (Pose), Holland Roden (Teen Wolf), Thomas Cocquerel (The 100), and Carlito Olivero (Bad Samaritan).

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is again directed by Adam Robitel from screenplay written by Will Honley, Oren Uziel, Maria Melnik, and Daniel Tuch, based on a story by Honley, Chrisine Lavaf and Fritz Bohm. Executive producers are Robitel, Karina Rahardja, and Philip Waley, with Neal H. Moritz producing.
