Sony's Hotel Transylvania: Transformania Teaser Debuts For Final Installment

Sony Pictures has released the first Hotel Transylvania: Transformania teaser for the upcoming fourth and final installment of their blockbuster animated franchise Hotel Transylvania, confirming that the official trailer will be coming this Monday, May 17. Further plot details haven’t been revealed yet, but the studio is teasing that fans should expect to see some monstrous changes to the hotel in the upcoming film. Transformania is currently slated to arrive in theaters on July 23, 2021, which pits it against two high-profile films, with Paramount Pictures’ Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe and M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Old also set to be released on the same date.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is directed by Jennifer Klushka and Derek Drymon from a screenplay written by franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who was previously attached to helm the fourth installment after directing the first three films. The film will be executive produced by Tartakovsky and Michelle Murdocca with Alice Dewey Goldston set as a producer.

The fourth film will no longer feature Adam Sandler as the lead and voice of Dracula, after voicing the character in the first three films. Now taking over the character is Brian Hull, who previously voiced the character in the recently released short film Monster Pets. Selena Gomez, who has voiced Mavis in each film, is returning for the final installment and will now serve as executive producer.

The ensemble cast for the first Hotel Transylvania films includes Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, David Spade, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Asher Blinkoff, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Kathryn Hahn, and Jim Gaffigan.
