Camille Meadows is the new girl at the prestigious Edelvine Academy for Girls. Soon after her arrival, six girls invite her to join them in a late-night ritual, calling forth the spirit of a dead former student who reportedly haunts their halls. But before morning, one of the girls is dead, leaving the others wondering what they may have awakened.

The cast for the film is led by Suki Waterhouse (The Bad Batch, Daisy Jones & The Six) alongside Madisen Beaty (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Fosters), Inanna Sarkis (After We Collided, The Left Right Game), Ella-Rae Smith (Into the Badlands, The Stranger), Stephanie Sy (Nobody, Welcome to Sudden Death), Megan Best (Channel Zero, Nobody), Jade Michael (Hunter Hunter, Fatal Friend Request), Djouliet Amara (Tales From the Hood 3) and Seamus Patterson (Channel Zero, Incorporated),

Seance is written and directed by Barrett, best known in the horror genre for his frequent collaborations with director Adam Wingard, producing and writing the 2010 psychological chiller A Horrible Way to Die and the 2011 dark comedy slasher You’re Next, as well as penning two segments of the first two V/H/S films and making his directorial debut on the second.
