Eat Wheaties! Trailer: Tony Hale Accidentally Stalks Elizabeth Banks

Screen Media Films has released the official trailer for Scott Abramovitch’s upcoming comedy Eat Wheaties! starring Emmy-winning actor Tony Hale as Sid Straw as he accidentally stalks his famous college classmate Elizabeth Banks after he tries to reconnect with her on Facebook for their upcoming reunion. However, when his silly innocent messages to Banks suddenly go viral, his life gets instantly ruined by social media with the public mocking him for his apparent obsession. Eat Wheaties! is be an updated adaptation of Michael Kun’s 2003 novel The Locklear Letters for the social media era centered Sid, a man whose unexceptional life takes a wild turn when he’s named co-chair of his college reunion and accidentally stalks famous college classmate, actress Elizabeth Banks, on social media. His messages to her go viral, and with each failed attempt to convince people he really knows her, Sid’s life spirals out of control until he finds himself banned from the reunion. Stuck at a crossroads and determined to rediscover the best version of himself, Sid hires an inexperienced lawyer to help clear his name.

Eat Wheaties! is written, directed and produced by Abramovitch alongside David J. Phillips. The film previously made its world premiere at 2020 Calgary International Film Festival.
