The Midnight Sky Trailer: George Clooney Tries to Save Humanity

Netflix has released the official trailer for actor-director George Clooney’s upcoming sci-fi drama film The Midnight Sky, featuring a scientist as he tries to prevent the spaceship of Aether, which is humanity’s last hope and future, from returning to Earth. The film is scheduled to be released in select theaters on December and will be available for streaming on December 23. Check out the video in the player below along with the new key art poster!

The Midnight Sky is a post-apocalyptic tale that follows Augustine (George Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully (Felicity Jones) and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe. Clooney directs the adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s acclaimed novel Good Morning, Midnight, from a screenplay written by Mark L. Smith.

The film will be led by Oscar winner George Clooney (Syriana, The Descendants), and Oscar nominee Felicity Jones (Theory of Everything). It will also star David Oyelowo (Selma), Demián Bichir (A Better Life), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Tiffany Boone (Hunters) and introducing Caoilinn Springall.
