Netflix has released the official trailer for Oscar-winning filmmaker Charlie Kaufman’s upcoming psychological horror film titled I’m Thinking of Ending Things, starring Jessie Buckley as a young woman who meets her boyfriend’s creepy parents. Based on author Iain Reid’s 2016 debut novel of the same name, the film will be available for streaming on Friday, September 4, 2020. Check out the video in the player below!

In I’m Thinking of Ending Things, despite second thoughts about their relationship, a young woman takes a road trip with her new boyfriend to his family farm. Trapped at the farm during a snowstorm with Jake’s mother and father, the young woman begins to question the nature of everything she knew or understood about her boyfriend, herself, and the world.

The film stars Jessie Buckley (Wild Rose, Chernobyl) as The Young Woman, and Jesse Plemons (Fargo, Black Mirror) as Jake along with Academy Award nominee Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense, Hereditary) as the Mother and David Thewlis (Harry Potter films, Wonder Woman) as the Father.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things is written and directed by Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). The film is produced by Stephanie Azpiazu, Anthony Bregman and Robert Salerno. This will mark Kaufman’s first venture into streaming.
