Amazon’s Seberg trailer starring Kristen Stewart and Zazie Beetz
Amazon Studios has revealed the official trailer for their upcoming political thriller film Seberg, featuring our first look at Kristen Stewart as the late actress Jean Seberg. The film had its world premiere at the 2019 Venice Film Festival last August and will have its theatrical release in December 13. You can check out the video below along with the newly released poster.
Seberg is inspired by true events about the French New Wave darling and Breathless star, Jean Seberg, who in the late 1960s was targeted by the FBI because of her support of the civil rights movement and romantic involvement with Hakim Jamal, among others. In Benedict Andrews’ noir-ish thriller, Seberg’s life and career are destroyed by Hoover’s overreaching surveillance and harassment in an effort to suppress and discredit Seberg’s activism.
The film stars Kristen Stewart (Panic Room, Personal Shopper), and Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) along with Emmy nominees Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Deadpool 2, Joker), and Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). It will also feature Jack O’Connell, Colm Meaney, Vince Vaughn, Stephen Root, Cornelius Smith Jr., Jade Pettyjohn, Ser’Darius Blain and James Jordan.
Seberg is the feature film directorial debut of Benedict Andrews. It is written by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse with Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik, Kate Garwood, Stephen Hopkins and Andrew Levitas of Metalwork Pictures serving as the producers.
