The Highwaymen trailer shows another side to Bonnie & Clyde’s tale
Everyone knows the story of Bonnie & Clyde, two outlaws were in love and became folk heroes after a series of bank robberies during the Great Depression. In the new Netflix film The Highwaymen, the story of the two former Texas Rangers, played by Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson, who are brought out of retirement to use their old-fashioned detective work to bring in the notorious pair of outlaws. From director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, The Founder), the crime drama The Highwaymen follows the untold true story of the legendary detectives who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. When the full force of the FBI and the latest forensic technology aren’t enough to capture the nation’s most notorious criminals, these two former Texas Rangers must rely on their gut instincts and old school skills to get the job done.
The Highwaymen will be available to stream on Netflix starting March 29 with a few exclusive theatrical engagements beginning March 15. The film has also been named an official selection to screen at this year’s SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas.
