Alex Wolff Joins Hugh Jackman Comedy Bad Education

According to Deadline, Hereditary star Alex Wolff has signed on to join in Thoroughbreds director Cory Finley’s forthcoming comedy film Bad Education, opposite Hugh Jackman (Logan,The Greatest Showman), Ray Romano and Allison Janey.

Bad Education follows the story of a school district superintendent (Jackman) who works for the betterment of the student’s education while embezzling public funds to live the life he wants. The film comes to us from Automatik and was written by Mike Makowsky, which he based from his own high school experience.

It will be produced by Fred Berger (La La Land) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones from Automatik with Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lebdev and Oren Moverman of Sight Unseen.

Hugh Jackman is known for playing Wolverine in the X-Men films, including the most recent and final one Logan. He appeared as Jean Valjean in the latest film version of Les Miserables and recently starred in the hit musical drama film based on P.T. Barnum’s life, The Greatest Showman.

Alex Wolff is best known for his role in Sony’s blockbuster adventure comedy film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle starring alongside Dwayne Johnson (Jungle Cruise), Jack Black (Goosebumps 2), Kevin Hart (Night School) and Karen Gillan (untitled Avengers 4). He also recently starred in the critically-acclaimed supernatural horror film Hereditary opposite Toni Collette and Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale).
