The film first announced earlier this summer, DreamWorks is moving forward with a “found footage” time travel adventure titled Glimmer. Today, Variety reports that the studio has hired commercials director Ringan Ledwidge to make his feature film debut on the project.
Written by Carter Blanchard, the film is said to center around a group of teenage friends who, after traveling through a portal to the past, begin to find history careening out of control.
Production is planned to begin early next year with Adam Kolbrenner and Mark Sourian producing.
