Joel Silver is developing, through his Silver Pictures, a new action film called Straight Edge. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the original spec script was drafted by Rich Wilkes, best known for writing all three films in the xXx franchise.
Said to follow a failed heist, Straight Edge takes place in Los Angeles and is likened by the trade to early Silver films like Lethal Weapon and 48 Hours.
In addition to Silver, Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona are attached to produce with work now underway to bring together a director and a cast.
