Sienna Guillory Joins Romantic Comedy Film Remember Me

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Resident Evil star Sienna Guillory has joined the cast of Spanish director Martin Rosete’s quirky romantic comedy film Remember Me.

Guillory will be playing the role of Selma, Claude’s (Bruce Dern) daughter whose politician husband got caught up in a public scandal, causing her and her family to escape from the media.

“Remember Me overflows with the sort of hilariously abrasive honesty you only encounter in real family relationships; its central story is irresistibly romantic and paradoxically twisted, morally speaking, I’m a sucker for a good story!” Guillory said during her interview with the outlet.

Create Entertainment’s CEO and the film’s lead producer Atit Shah added that casting Guillory for the film was a perfect casting choice for the role.“This film’s script is by far the most unique I have ever had the pleasure of laying my hands on. Funny, lovable and beyond charming. We all feel beyond blessed that three years after I first read it, we are now only a few days away from principal photography. Martin instantly clicked with Sienna from the first phone call, and we could not have imagined landing a more perfect Selma.”

The film centers on Claude, a 70-year-old widower and former theater and cinema reviewer who learns that the love of his life, Lilian, is in a senior home going through difficult times without anybody looking after her. With the help of his best friend Shane, Claude decides to fake Alzheimer’s as the only way to be by her side.

In addition to Guillory, Remember Me also stars Academy award-nominee Bruce Dern (Nebraska Coming Home, Freaks) as Claude, Emmy winner Brian Cox (Nuremberg, Doctor Who) as Shane, French actress Caroline Silhol as Lillian and Brandon Larracuente (13 Reasons Why).

Rosete (Money, Moses) will be directing and producing the film from a screenplay written by Rafa Russo (Twice Upon a Yesterday, Julia’s Decision, Love in Self-Defense), which was included on Franklin Leonard’s The Black List. The feature is co-produced by Create Entertainment, Lazona Films and Kamel Films, and F Comme Film.

Remember Me will shoot in Spain, France, and Los Angeles starting on August 24
