RZA Plans Genghis Khan and No Man’s Land

Earlier this month, word broke that The Man with the Iron Fists‘ first time director RZA was already lining up a sophomore feature with a big screen adaptation of Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s Happy. Today, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the musician-turned-filmmaker has a further two projects on the table with Genghis Khan and No Man’s Land.

Genghis Khan, a biopic about the Mongolian warlord/emperor, was written by John Milius (Conan the Barbarian, Apocalypse Now) and has been on its way to the big screen in various iterations for years.

Scripted by Trey Ellis and David Klass, No Man’s Land follows a jewel thief who spends an action-packed night in over his head after taking possession of a rare diamond.

Peter Lam and Andre Morgan will produce the former project with Bill Mechanic and Reginald Hudlin producing the latter. No Man’s Land is expected to go into production in the very near future with Genghis Khan eyed for a summer 2013 shoot in China.
