Tyler Perry, who headlines this week’s Alex Cross, will next write, produce, direct and star in the original drama Single Moms Club. Variety reports that Lionsgate has come aboard to distribute the film.
The film will follow four single mothers who, after an incident at their children’s school, form a support group with one another.
Perry, whose directorial output for 2012 has already included Good Deeds and Madea’s Witness Protection, will next release The Marriage Counselor on March 29, 2013, also through Lionsgate.
