Avengers: Infinity War Flies Past the $900 Million Mark

Marvel Studios‘ Avengers: Infinity War added another $47.5 million at the global box office on Thursday to take its nine-day total to $905.1 million. The film earned $15.5 million domestically and $32 million internationally. Avengers: Infinity War has now grossed $338.4 million in North America and $566.7 million overseas.

Yesterday saw Avengers: Infinity War pass Spider-Man 3 ($891M), Spider-Man: Homecoming ($880M), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($874M) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($854M) globally.

Russia opened yesterday and posted an estimated $4.9 milion, making it the biggest industry opening day of all time and becoming the first movie to ever sell more than a million tickets in a single day. While the film won’t open in China until May 11th, the international highlights so far include: UK ($53.7M); Korea ($53.1M); Mexico ($39.9M); Brazil ($33.5M); India ($30.1M); Australia ($27.8M); France ($26.3M); Germany ($23.2M); Indonesia ($17.8M); Japan ($17.4M); Philippines ($17.3M); Italy ($16.0M); Spain ($14.5M); Thailand ($13.9M); Taiwan ($13.7M); Hong Kong ($12.8M); and Malaysia ($12.1M).
