Kyra Sedgwick and Jeffrey Donovan have joined the cast of Villains
Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) and Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) have joined the dark comedy thriller Villains for The Realm and Star Thrower Entertainment. The script for Villains comes to us from Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. The two wrote the script, which ended up on the 2016 Black List, and they are set to direct the film. Principal photography began yesterday in New York.
Villains is the story of two amateur criminals who break into a home and find a young girl chained up in the basement. The two homeowners are set to make sure no one knows about her.
Trevor and Tim White will produce for Star Thrower with production head Allan Mandelbaum. The Realm’s Garrick Dion will produce as well. BRON’s Aaron L. Gilbert and Jason Cloth from Creative Wealth Media will executive produce, with Rick Rickertsen and Mary Solomon co-producing.
Kyra Sedgwick is known for her work in the TV series The Closer and just recently made her directorial debut with Lifetime’s Story of a Girl. She’s appeared in The Edge of Seventeen, Ten Days in the Valley and The Woodsman. Jeffrey Donovan is known for his work in the TV series Burn Notice. He’ll next be seen in Sicario: Day of the Soldado and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
