Taraji P. Henson Dominates in the New Acrimony Poster

The new poster for Tyler Perry’s upcoming psychological thriller Acrimony has released, effectively showcasing its star Taraji P. Henson (Empire) as a woman who is not to be messed with. Check out the Acrimony poster in the gallery below!

Henson portrays Melinda, a devoted and faithful wife who has consistently stood by her devious husband, Robert (Lyriq Bent). After suffering through the ultimate betrayal, Melinda decides it’s best to take matters into her own hands and get as even as possible. The simple poster features an intimidating Henson sitting with her legs crossed as the declaration of “hell hath no fury” is front and center along with the lead. The film also stars Ajiona Alexus, Tika Sumpter and Crystle Stewart and is being distributed by Lionsgate.

Acrimony is the second collaboration between Henson and Perry, with the first being 2009’s I Can Do Bad All by Myself. Perry not only has directing duties on Acrimony but a producing and writing credit as well. Best known for directing and leading his monstrous Madea franchise to immense success with the latest installment, A Madea Family Funeral set for release later this year. Perry has also starred in a number of films, including Alex CrossGone Girl and The Star.

Henson has showcased her phenomenal talent within the past few years, headlining such films as last year’s Hidden Figures and this year’s Proud Mary. She is starring in two other films this year aside from Acrimony, including The Best of Enemies and the highly-anticipated sequel to Wreck-It Ralph. She is also starring in next year’s What Men Want, which recently found a director in Adam Shankman.

Acrimony is set for release on March 30, 2018. Are you planning on checking it out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
