Stephany Folsom is set to write the script for Toy Story 4
Stephany Folsom has been tapped to write the script for the upcoming Disney•Pixar film Toy Story 4, according to Deadline. Folsom was on the Black List for her original script 1969: a Space Odyssey Or: How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon. She was one of the writers on Thor: Ragnarok, though the site reports that she was denied credit by the WGA. The sequel was originally going to be written by Rashida Jones and writing partner Will McCormack.
Toy Story 4 will be a love story with Woody and Bo Peep, and will pick up where Toy Story 3 left off, when Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the series’ toy chest of characters were handed down to a little girl named Bonnie. That’s all we know about the story so far.
Toy Story 4 stars Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, Annie Potts, Patricia Arquette and Joan Cusack. It’s directed by Josh Cooley and is expected to open in theaters on June 21, 2019.
