Gal Gadot is in talks to join the Justin Kurzel-directed Ruin

Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) is in talks to join the Justin Kurzel-directed film Ruin, according to Deadline. The production would reportedly begin early next year, allowing Gadot to shoot Wonder Woman 2, directed by Patty Jenkins, next summer.

Ruin is written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The film is reportedly a revenge thriller described as follows: “A nameless ex-Nazi captain navigates the ruins of post-WWII Germany. Determined to atone for his crimes during the war, he hunts down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.”

Gal Gadot is, of course, known for playing the lead role in Wonder Woman and will return in the upcoming sequel to the DC Comics/Warner Bros. film. She first appeared in the role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and she’ll reprise the role in the upcoming Justice League film, which will hit theaters on November 17, 2017. She also appeared in the role of Gisele Yashar in several films of The Fast and the Furious franchise. Gadot recently appeared in the comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses with Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm and Isla Fisher.  She is set to join the cast of Deeper, starring opposite Bradley Cooper. The film was written by Max Landis and will be directed by Kornel Mundruczo.

Justin Kurzel is known for directing the short film Blue Tongue and 2011’s Snowton. He’s also directed an episode of The Turning, as well as Macbeth, which was nominated for a British Independent Film Award for Best Director of a British Independent Film as well as the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2016, Kurzel directed the film Assassin’s Creed.
