Anchor Bay Films announced today the acquisition of all North American distribution rights to the latest film by Amy Heckerling (Clueless, Fast Times at Ridgemont High), VAMPS. The film, starring Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, Batman & Robin, Krysten Ritter (Dont Trust the B- in Apartment 23, Confessions of a Shopaholic), Wallace Shawn (Toy Story, The Princess Bride) and Sigourney Weaver (Aliens, Avatar), is expected to be released near Halloween. The deal was announced by Bill Clark, President of Anchor Bay Entertainment.
