Skydance and Paramount Extend Production and Distribution Deal

Skydance and Paramount’s new agreement includes Top Gun 2 and the World War Z sequel

Skydance Media and Paramount Pictures have extended their production and distribution agreement for the next four years. This means that the companies will produce the next Mission: Impossible film, Top Gun: Maverick and the upcoming World War Z sequel, as well as the Terminator relaunch, Bermuda Triangle and Gemini Man, among others. In addition, Skydance Media’s new animated division in partnership with Ilion Animation Studios is part of the deal. Skydance Media’s first two animated films include Luck from director Alessandro Carloni and written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, and Split from director Vicky Jenson and written by Linda Woolverton.

In the agreement, Paramount will have the opportunity to co-finance and distribute the films that Skydance produces and Skydance has the option to co-produce and co-finance certain Paramount feature films. What films are you most looking forward to seeing?
