Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson to Star in Screen Gems’ No Good Deed

Screen Gems has cast Golden Globe winner Idris Elba (Thor, Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance) and Oscar-nominated Taraji P. Henson (upcoming Think Like a Man, “Person of Interest”) in No Good Deed. The project will be directed by Sam Miller from a screenplay written by Aimee Lagos.

No Good Deed centers around a former D.A turned stay-at-home mom and her two small children who are terrorized and kidnapped from their home when she invites a good looking mysterious stranger in to wait for help after his car ran off the road.

Will Packer will produce via his Rainforest Films banner along with Lee Clay. Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lindsey Williams, Elba, and Rob Hardy will executive produce. Screen Gems President Clint Culpepper will oversee the project for the studio.

Miller’s directing credits include the TV series “Luther,” starring Elba, and “MI-5,” as well as the upcoming television series “Savage” for BBC.

Filming is set to start this April in Atlanta, Georgia.
