First announced in 2010, Fox 2000 is developing a musical feature set to famous songs by the Beach Boys. Today, Variety reports that The Vow director Michael Sucsy is in talks to potentially helm the project.
Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and John Stamos will produce with Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich) providing the screenplay for the still-untitled project which will tell a (still undisclosed) fictional tale set to the band’s tunes.
The Vow, Sucsy’s first feature, has proven to be a significant box office hit, currently having grossed over $100 million.
