Olivier Dahan Plans Grace of Monaco

Appearing on last month’s “Black List”, the Grace Kelly biopic Grace of Monaco is moving forward. Deadline reports that Olivier Dahan, the man behind 2007’s Edith Piaf tale, La vie en rose, will direct.

Written by Arash Amel, Grace of Monaco was listed with the following logline:

Grace Kelly, age 33 and having given up her acting career to focus on being a full time princess, uses her political maneuvering behind the scenes to save Monaco while French Leader Charles de Gaulle and Monaco’s Prince Rainier III are at odds over the princi¬pality’s standing as a tax haven.

Dahan, who directed Marion Cotillard to an Academy Award, is now meeting with producer Pierre-Ange le Pogam to try and cast an actress who can bring Kelly’s legendary charisma to the modern screen.
