Sony Pictures Animation has set Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn to direct the sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Cameron and Pearn are Sony Pictures Animation artists who worked on the first film.
Chris Miller and Phil Lord, who wrote and directed the original 2009 movie, will executive produce the follow up. Kirk Bodyfelt is producing.
The picture has not yet received the green light.
The original, which earned $243 million worldwide, was based on the children’s book written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett and featured the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Bruce Campbell, Andy Samberg and Mr. T.
