Previously-announced Overlord cast members Jovan Adepo (The Leftovers) and Wyatt Russell (Everybody Wants Some!!) are being joined by Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones), Dominic Applewhite (The King’s Speech), Pilou Asbaek (Game of Thrones), Iain de Caestecker (Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD), John Magaro (The Big Short), Mathilde Ollivier (The Misfortunes of Francois Jane) and Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo).

Set on the eve of D-Day, a group of American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.

A Bad Robot production, Overlord is produced by J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber, and written by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant).

Overlord will begin shooting this May in the U.K.

Last year, Bad Robot Productions released both 10 Cloverfield Lane and Star Trek Beyond through Paramount Pictures. The former, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman and John Gallagher Jr. and brought in more than $100 million at the worldwide box office. The latter, the third entry in the rebooted big screen Star Trek timeline, was directed by Justin Lin and pulled in more than $343 million worldwide.
