News broke in August that Reese Witherspoon is set to headline a Walt Disney Pictures family comedy called Wish List. Today, The Hollywood Reporter has an update, saying that the studio has signed Kung Fu Panda 2 writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger to provide the screenplay.
In the film, Witherspoon will play the leading role of a woman who, as a child, made ten wishes on a single coin at a wishing well, unaware that her coin never quite reached the well’s magical bottom. When the coin is finally jostled loose 25 years later, the wishes all come true in the middle of her unsuspecting adult life.
The pair previously worked with Witherspoon on Monsters vs Aliens, where the actress provided the voice of the 49 1/2 foot woman, Ginormica.
