Warner Bros. Pictures hosted a Facebook Live Q&A for Blade Runner 2049 at the IMAX headquarters in Los Angeles this morning with stars Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling and director Denis Villeneuve. Before the event, Blade Runner 2049 concept art was on display. We’ve got a look at it for you in the gallery below. In addition, we have some of the stills Warner Bros. showed on the big IMAX screen before they showed the bran- new trailer for Blade Runner 2049.
In the Blade Runner 2049 concept art, you can get a feel for Roger Deakins‘ cinematography and how the film relates to the first one. The film also stars Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, with Dave Bautista, Edward James Olmos and Jared Leto.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, Blade Runner 2049 is based on characters from Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” The sequel arrives in theaters on October 6, 2017.
