Watch the King Arthur: Legend of the Sword ‘1000 Punches’ Featurette

Check out the ‘1000 Punches’ featurette for the upcoming film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have released the “1000 Punches” featurette for the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. In it, we hear from star Charlie Hunnam, who talks about why fight training was important. He says, “I felt that having the confidence that comes with doing a lot of fight training, it does give one a certain spring in the step, a glint in the eye, and so, I spent a lot of time in the gym just doing fight training. It wasn’t as much for the physical effect as the emotional effect and the confidence that comes with throwing 1000 punches a day.” He also goes into the motivations of the character. The filmmakers also talk about Hunnam and working on the stunts. You can check it out in the player below.

Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne.

When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

Starring Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, with Jude Law and Eric Bana, the new King Arthur was written by Joby Harold and Guy Ritchie & Lionel Wigram.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword arrives in theaters on May 12. Are you guys excited for the film? Let us know in the comments or tweet us @ComingSoonnet.
