Sharon Stone is the latest name to sign on for Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman ‘s Lovelace reports The Associated Press. She’ll play the mother to Lovelace, who herself is rumored to be played by Amanda Seyfried.
This film version is seperate from a rival biopic entitled Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story. That version is set to be written and director by Matthew David Wilder and Malin Akerman is attached to play the leading role. Instead, Lovelace is based on Eric Danville’s biography “The Complete Linda Lovelace.” The film follows Linda Boreman’s rise to fame as iconic porn star Linda Lovelace of 1972’s “Deep Throat,” and her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano. The story is told through the perspective of three interviewers at various stages of her life.
Stone will tackle Lovelace after her next project, a thriller entitled The Mule.
