Leven Rambin has signed on to play the female lead opposite Gerard Butler and Jonny Weston in the upcoming Mavericks, Variety reports.
Butler stars as Rick “Frosty” Hesson, the mentor who trained the late surf phenomenon Jay Moriarty (Weston), in the Walden Media drama. Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential, 8 Mile) will direct the biopic with a script from Kario Salem and Brandon Hooper.
Rambin, best known for a variety of television projects that include “All My Children,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” will soon appear on the big screen in The Hunger Games in the role of Glimmer.
