Following the recent debut of the film’s trailer, FilmDistrict has released the official teaser poster for The Rum Diary which you can check out below.
The movie features the return of Johnny Depp to the world of Hunter S. Thompson in the adaptation that has him playing New York journalist Paul Kemp, who travels down to San Juan, Puerto Rico to work at the local paper.
Previously, Depp played Thompson in Terry Gilliam’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and was the narrator for Alex Gibney’s doc Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson.
Also starring Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhart, Giovani Ribisi and Richard Jenkins and directed by Bruce Robinson, The Rum Diary is scheduled to open on October 28.
