SDCC Exclusive: Rhys Ifans Denies Bond Rumors

Earlier today, ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype was one of the lucky few who got to sit down with the latest actor playing a Spidey villain, Rhys Ifans, who plays Dr. Curt Connors aka The Lizard in director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, and of course, we had to ask him about the recent rumors that he’d be reuniting with Daniel Craig for Sam Mendes’ untitled Bond 23. The two appeared in Roger Michell’s thriller Enduring Love and even shared a kiss, but the rumors had been denied by Sony when it was announced.

“I’ve just heard this today about, the new Bond,” Ifans told us in a video interview we’ll be posting over on SuperHeroHype shortly. “I don’t know anything about that. I think Daniel Craig is the best Bond that ever was. He’s unbelievable, he’s fantastic, and if he wants me to kiss him again hard on the lips, I’m available. But I dunno. If the Bond people watch this (interview), give me a f*cking job, man!”

So there you have it! Look for the full video interview where he talks extensively about his role in The Amazing Spider-Man over on SuperHeroHype.
