Sony Pictures Animation has revealed the first poster for the fully-animated Smurfs: The Lost Village, opening in theaters on April 7, 2017. Check out the Smurfs: The Lost Village poster and stay tuned for the trailer tomorrow.
The plot of the new film revolves around Smurfette as she searches for a legendary Smurf village, with her brothers Hefty, Clumsy and Brainy tagging along. Smurfs: The Lost Village features the voices of Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Rainn Wilson as the evil Gargamel and Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, along with Joe Manganiello as Hefty, Jack McBrayer as Clumsy and Danny Pudi as Brainy.
The film, which will mark a brand new, fully-animated take on the beloved blue creatures, is being directed by Kelly Asbury (Shrek 2, Gnomeo & Juliet), produced by Jordan Kerner (Charlotte’s Web, The Smurfs) and co-produced by Mary Ellen Bauder (Hotel Transylvania).
