Universal Pictures is in talks to acquire The Insane Laws, a comedy from writer/director Jeremy Garelick, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Vince Vaughn is attached to star in the project, which would re-team him with Garelick, who co-wrote the 2006 release The Break-Up.
The Insane Laws, based on Garelick’s own life, centers on two best friends whose lives are impacted when their grown children fall in love and one man’s daughter becomes pregnant with his best friend’s son.
Neal Moritz and his Original Films are produing.
