More than two years since the news originally broke that Scott Silver (who recently scripted The Fighter) was attached to write Samson, a futuristic interpretation of the biblical strongman, for Warner Bros., comes an update on the project from Silver himself, courtesy of PopcornBiz.
“It’s an original superhero,” says Silver, who developed the concept with Francis Lawrence, “and we were fortunate enough to sell it to Warner Brothers. I’ve been dealing with sci-fi s–t and superhero stuff, which is all new to me.”
Silver says that his work on the script is nearly complete, though there’s no guarantee on if and when the project will be greenlit.
