Filmmaker Clint Eastwood doesn’t do a lot of press these days, yet a site called “Sandwich John Films” somehow got a chance to talk to him on the red carpet and were able to get a scoop that he’s going to have Oscar-winning actress Dame Judi Dench appearing in his upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic J. Edgar, starring Leonardo Dicaprio and written by Dustin Lance Black.
In fact, they learned this when they asked about Charlize Theron’s rumored casting in the movie, to which the filmmaker responded:
“We think she will be in the film, and Judi Dench is definitely in the film and there we are.
So there you have it. Theron is still on the table but Dench is definitely on board, and knowing Eastwood’s quick turnaround for movies, we’re likely to be seeing the movie sometime in late 2011.
