Universal Pictures has hired Ricardo de Montreuil to direct the Untitled Low Rider Project, written by Cheo Hodari Coker.
The story is about a young man from Pacoima who builds the ultimate street cruiser in his best friend’s memory and finds fortune and fame. But when the local badass wants a piece of him, is Salavador’s pursuit of the American dream all it’s cracked up to be?
Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer wil produce. Kim Roth and Sarah Bowen will oversee the project for Imagine. Mr. Cartoon and Estevan Oriol will serve as executive producers.
Universal’s Executive Vice President of Production, Scott Bernstein will oversee the project for the studio.
