Downey Jr. in Talks for Cuaron’s Gravity

Robert Downey Jr. is in negotiations to star in director Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, a 3D space film at Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

Deadline New York says that Downey Jr. “will play the leader of a team posted at a remote space station. While he and a female colleague are traveling outside the space station, the other team members are decimated by debris from an exploded satellite.” Cuaron wrote the script with his son, Jonas.

Downey Jr. would shoot the movie in London this summer before he starts on Sherlock Holmes 2.
