Mexico City to Host SPECTRE Premiere of the Americas

The SPECTRE Premiere of the Americas heads to Mexico City November 2

Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment have just announced that Mexico City will host the SPECTRE Premiere of the Americas on Monday, November 2. The SPECTRE premiere of the Americas will follow on the heels of London’s World SPECTRE premiere and marks the first time that Mexico has hosted an international James Bond premiere. The November 2 date will have the SPECTRE premiere coinciding with the colorful Day of the Dead festivities across Mexico, which are featured in SPECTRE‘s opening sequence.

“We owe our magnificent Day of the Dead opening sequence, shot in Mexico City, to the expert craftsmanship of our wonderful British and Mexican crews,” say franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. “With 2015 being the Year of Mexico in the UK and the Year of the UK in Mexico, it is fitting that the Premiere of the Americas will take place in Mexico City.”

The SPECTRE cast also includes Daniel Craig, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Jesper Christensen and Ben Whishaw.

Directed once again by Skyfall‘s Sam Mendes, SPECTRE is written by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade. Following a UK release on October 26, SPECTRE will begin its rollout in North America and South America on November 6.

ComingSoon.net visited the SPECTRE set earlier this year and got an up close look at production. Be sure to check out our video interviews with cast members Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux and Christoph Waltz. Bautista teases Mr. Hinx’s “hook” that will make him a classic Bond villain, Waltz discusses his “business man” character and Seydoux reveals a special Inglourious Basterds Easter egg she and Waltz filmed as an homage to their first appearance together in the Quentin Tarantino film.
