I’m not sure what the attraction to July 31 this year is, but a second movie has now left its late year release date to move up into the summer season. First it was Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation moving from Christmas to late July and now Warner Bros. is betting on their Vacation reboot, moving the comedy starring Ed Helms and Christina Applegate from October 9 to face off against Mission: Impossible 5 as well as Antoine Fuqua‘s Southpaw and the Joel Edgerton-directed thriller The Gift
In addition to that, Focus Features has finally dated one of their Oscar contenders as Suffragette will open on October 23 pretty much signifying a Toronto premiere is in order while Lionsgate has set a February 19, 2016 release date for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies opposite the Naomi Watts thriller Shut In.
